AP Lang Exam Gilded Age Essay SamplesThe AP Lang Exam Gilded Age is an English Language Test. It is also referred to as the Old English Exams. It is taught in some schools but is not usually required for college entrance examinations. You should not worry about getting this English test if you are just taking the AP English test.This English test will be easy, since it is not supposed to test your speaking, writing or grammar skills. It only measures your understanding of various types of literature.There are four sections to this English test. You will be asked to read short stories, essays, dictionaries and books. Reading works in the form of a real story with appropriate examples.In the essay section, you will be given the essay of the day. This is where you will write an essay on a topic that interests you. It is very important that you understand the meaning of the poem that the teacher assigned. Make sure that you do not repeat any of the material in the essay.In the books sect ion, you will be asked to read the newspaper, books and magazines. You will also be asked to rate the quality of these media.In the dictionary section, you will be asked to check your understanding of words. Remember that you must be able to make a connection between two similar words in the dictionary. You will also be asked to write an essay that compares two or more definitions of the same word.In the essay sample sections, you will be asked to create a story and relate it to one of the story themes. All of the essay samples arecomposed using historical events, scientific and medical terms, medical texts and cartoons.Most of the AP English Exams are given in the English classroom. Your teachers will read your essay samples out loud before you read them. If you are a bit nervous about writing an essay or reading it, it would be a good idea to have someone else read the sample.
